Introduction

I've always enjoyed sending and receiving mail, but I became especially drawn to mail art and postcard swaps during the COVID-19 pandemic. One formative experience was Postcards from the Pandemic, an open project hosted by the Victoria-based art collective BoxCarSix. Local artists were invited to create and send postcards, build on each other’s contributions, and finalize them as collaborative artworks for exhibition. The project culminated in a group show in 2020. After that, I joined Postcrossing, an online community dedicated to postcard exchanges. Though my practice ebbs and flows, I continue to create and send mail art, and I'll use this space to share some of it.
